Avamere at The Stafford in Lake Oswego, OR is seeking a full-time Cook responsible for preparing nutritious meals for residents across care levels. You will follow dietary restrictions, ensure sanitation, and provide a home-like dining experience.

Key duties include executing daily menus, accommodating dietary needs, and maintaining food safety. Join a team focused on resident well-being and high-quality dining services.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Cook experience in a Hospital or Healthcare facility preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions and to follow recipes accurately.
• Current Food Handlers card issued by local Health Department.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner focusing on nutrition, flavor, and correct temperatures.
• Adapt recipes and offer alternative options for changing appetites and dietary needs.
• Maintain sanitation, safety, and storage standards per ServSafe guidelines and health codes.
• Create a warm, dignified dining experience and encourage social interaction among residents.
• Collaborate with the Dietary/Dining Services Director and nursing staff on resident diets.
