Job summary

Crossroads at Bon Air is seeking a caring culinary professional to prepare meals for seniors in a positive environment. You will work with top-of-the-line culinary equipment in a clean kitchen and be supported by an organization committed to quality services and dignity.

Responsibilities include preparing meals safely, menu planning, assisting with food orders, and assisting with special meals and events. Requirements include a high school diploma (GED accepted), 2 years batch cooking

Qualifications

• A passion for helping seniors.
• A desire to contribute to a positive atmosphere in the community for residents, family & friends, and all team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; both oral and written.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing all meals and menu items according to proper safety and cooking techniques.
• Utilizing your culinary talents to cook healthy and great tasting menu items.
• Assisting in menu planning and the purchasing and ordering of food, supplies and equipment.
• Assisting in preparation of special meals, party menus and special event menus.
