Job summary

The Cook position at MBK Senior Living places residents first, delivering high-quality, nutritious meals in a warm dining environment. You will follow menus, recipes, and safety standards while supporting a caring dining services team.

We seek at least 2 years of kitchen experience, ServSafe and Food Handler certifications, and a commitment to teamwork, food safety, and timely meal service for our senior residents in a culture that values growth and compassion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Food Handler’s Certification/Permit required.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Culinary Arts degree or vocational training preferred.
• 2+ years of kitchen/cooking experience in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items per planned menus and recipes, ensuring high quality and proper presentation.
• Manage inventory, order preparation, and proper portioning.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, HACCP, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation and comply with policies.
• Collaborate with the Director of Dining Services and/or Executive Chef on menu changes.
