Job summary

Distinctive Living in Brooklyn Pointe Community is seeking a full-time Cook to support the Restaurant and Hospitality Department. The Cook ensures meal quality, adherence to special diets, and smooth dining room service for residents.

Under the Director of Restaurant and Hospitality, you will follow menus, assist with food preparation, maintain safety and cleanliness, and collaborate with staff to deliver a positive resident experience during meals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in food service.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality with planning, directing, controlling, communicating, and coaching in the Food Service Department.
• Follows the Menu Program that meets nutritional requirements, as directed by the Director, Food Service.
• Responds to resident likes and dislikes maintaining high resident satisfaction.
• Maintains food temperatures and time controls during storage, production, and serving according to required food safety standards.
• Ensures that staff provides a service to maintain good resident experiences during meal times.
• Provides input and support to the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality on new hires and training staff.
• Maintains a clean kitchen and safe working environment.
• Fosters teamwork and positive impact on residents and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
