The role requires 10-hour daytime shifts, four days per week, with every other weekend availability. Candidates should have prior cooking experience, knowledge of food safety, and a pride in delivering high-quality meals that support residents' well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cooking or food preparation experience.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work 10-hour daytime shifts, four days per week.
• Every other weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines
• Ensure meals are prepared and served safely, consistently, and on time
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures
• Accommodate resident dietary needs and special meal requirements as directed
• Properly store, label, and rotate food according to established procedures
• Assist with kitchen inventory, food storage, and restocking supplies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Work collaboratively with dietary team members to provide an enjoyable dining experience
• Communicate resident preferences, concerns, and dietary needs appropriately
• Assist with meals for special events and community celebrations as needed
