Vista Springs Trillium Village in Clarkston, MI is seeking an enthusiastic culinary associate to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents under the guidance of the Culinary Services Director.

You will work in a supportive, residence-centered environment within a premier senior living community. The role offers full-time or part-time opportunities, with benefits, advancement potential, and a focus on high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: A high school diploma, one year experience cooking/baking from scratch and preparing special diets and management experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting OR a combination of education and experience.
• Experience cooking in a long-term care or assisted living setting is preferred.
• Able to follow menus, dietary restrictions, and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Arrive to scheduled shift regularly and punctually.
• Assist the culinary service director to develop, monitor and maintain quality standards for storage, preparation and presentation of food.
• Prepare and serve nutritionally balanced meals reflecting residents preferences while adhering to menus and dietary needs.
• Maintain sanitation of kitchen, equipment and dining areas.
• Coordinate special events under directions of Culinary Services Director.
