Job summary

Trail Ridge Senior Living Community is seeking a Cook for a full-time role to prepare nutritious meals for residents. You will work a 5:00 AM–1:30 PM schedule Monday through Friday, joining a supportive culinary team dedicated to quality and compassionate care.

As part of this role, you will follow established recipes, maintain kitchen safety, and collaborate with other staff to deliver appealing, resident-friendly meals in a respectful, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• At least 2 years of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior services, or similar setting.
• Experience with food preparation and handling.
• Knowledge of recipes, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
• Must be willing to work holidays and participate in a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare a variety of foods, including soups, sauces, baked goods, appetizers, and desserts.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule.
• Follow proper food preparation, handling, and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
• Assist with inventory management, food preparation, and daily kitchen operations.
• Follow food safety standards and proper sanitation practices.
• Work collaboratively with other culinary and senior living team members.
• Help create an enjoyable dining experience for residents by preparing quality, appealing meals.
