Job summary

Cherry Springs Village is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team and provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. You will prepare and cook according to menus, accommodate dietary needs, and ensure meals are appetizing and served timely.

Work closely with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff to maintain a clean, safe kitchen, manage inventory, respond to resident requests, and help train new staff. We offer competitive salary, strong benefits, and ongoing development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring food is nutritious, appetizing, and prepared according to dietary requirements and resident preferences.
• Ensure meals are served in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment by following food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Work closely with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and quality service. Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
• Assist with inventory management and help track food supplies. Report shortages or order needs to the Dietary Manager.
• Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate residents’ food preferences, ensuring satisfaction with meals served.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including safe food handling and proper sanitation practices.
