Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Cook for a 11am-7pm schedule, full or part-time, to prepare food for residents and guests according to menus and recipes. This rewarding role offers opportunities for advancement within an innovative company.

You will bring a High School diploma or equivalent, at least three years of line cook experience, and strong communication skills. The role involves maintaining kitchen safety, station cleanliness, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent) or technical school.
• A minimum of three years of line cook experience and/or training.
• Good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees.
• Prepare food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Maintain freshness, cooking status, and proper seasoning of all foods served.
• Stock and clean station for next shift.
• Follow proper food rotation policies.
• Maintain a positive attitude and support a team environment.
• Promote positive relations with residents, family members, and guests.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and security in the kitchen.
