Our Prep Cooks are responsible for:

• Assisting in preparing all food items following production amounts, proper recipes, and procedures.
• Ensuring all food items are prepared in a timely fashion using batch-cooking and cook-to-order methods to ensure freshness.
• Preparing all food products to ensure the highest level of Food Safety and preserve nutrients, meeting residents' dietary requirements.
• Attending all scheduled dining services meetings and in-service trainings.
• Maintaining kitchen sanitation and safety standards, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment, practicing proper food handling and storage procedures, and documenting temperature records.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality food preparation.
• Experience in scratch cooking in high-volume, fine dining settings.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, etc.
• 1-year previous dining experience in food preparation.
• High School diploma or GED; college degree or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires frequent standing, walking, manual handling of materials up to 50 lbs, bending, lifting, and reaching. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
