Job summary

Plante Moran Realpoint, LLC is seeking a VP of Construction Development/preconstruction and Construction Management to lead multimillion-dollar senior living projects from ideation to completion. Based near Chicago, you will assemble and direct cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients, lenders and vendors.

Your background in real estate development, construction, and project leadership will help you steer timelines and ensure quality outcomes while maintaining strong

Qualifications

• Engineering/Architecture/Construction Management degree from accredited college.
• 6+ years development, owner’s representation, design or construction fields.
• Experience with Owner's Facility Team or as a consultant preferred; construction cost estimating desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel.
• Project and/or Primavera Scheduling Software.
• Qualified individuals must reside in or near Chicago, IL, or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Champion development and implementation of real estate projects with timelines, budgets, programs and logistics plans.
• Lead teams of architects, engineers, contractors, analysts, operators and lenders to execute large-scale developments.
• Manage project budgets and timelines to align with client needs and strengthen relationships.
• Oversee preconstruction: development and design team, budget, schedule and program alignment.
• Oversee construction: monitor progress and vendors to ensure successful completion.
• Provide oversight of design, construction, legal and financial elements.
• Identify and mitigate development risks through contractual management.
• Prepare detailed reports and engaging client presentations.
