Job summary

Plante Moran Realpoint, LLC is seeking a VP of Construction Development/preconstruction and Construction Management to lead multimillion-dollar senior living projects from ideation to completion, based in the Chicago metro area with frequent site visits.

You will coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and lenders, manage budgets and timelines, and drive project success through proactive risk management and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Architecture/Construction Management degree required.
• 6+ years development, owner’s representation, design or construction experience.
• Owner's Facility Team or consultant background preferred; cost estimating a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with Primavera Scheduling Software.

Responsibilities

• Develop real estate projects with budgets, timelines, and logistics plans.
• Lead teams of architects, engineers, contractors, analysts, operators and lenders.
• Manage budgets and schedules to meet client needs and strengthen relationships.
• Oversee preconstruction scoping and alignment to funding and calendars.
• Oversee construction progress, monitor contractors and vendors.
• Provide oversight of design, construction, legal and financial elements.
• Identify and mitigate risks through contractual management.
• Prepare detailed client-facing reports and presentations.
