The Willows of Ramsey Hill, part of Episcopal Homes of Minnesota, in St. Paul, MN, is seeking a Chef to join the culinary team. This part-time role focuses on preparing meals for residents in a memory care setting, following recipes and dietary guidelines while prioritizing safety and quality.

The position offers a 0.2 FTE schedule with hours from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and a pay range of $21.00-$26.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

Previous food preparation or production experience.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Basic math skills for portioning and food preparation.
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and dietary guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
Ability to work in hot and cold kitchen environments.

Responsibilities

Prepare meals according to recipes, production sheets, and dietary guidelines.
Ensure food meets standards for quality, portion size, temperature, and presentation.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and work area.
Complete production and tally sheets accurately.
Use ingredients and leftovers efficiently to help reduce food waste.
Monitor food and supply needs and report shortages as needed.
Report equipment concerns or malfunctions promptly.
Work collaboratively with the culinary team to provide a positive dining experience for residents.
