Job summary

Merrill Gardens in Keller, TX is seeking a compassionate Senior Living Caregiver for the second shift (2pm-10pm) to support residents on their wellness journey. You will assist with daily activities, help manage medications as allowed by state, and document progress daily in our caring community.

Qualifications

• Current caregiver training or state-appropriate certification required.
• CNA license or two years of caregiver experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living: dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by state and complete daily progress reports.
• Complete daily or more frequent progress notes for residents as needed.

Our Caregivers:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and completing daily progress reports of services provided.
• Completes progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed. (Chart by exception)

If you are someone with:

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or the ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday.
