Qualifications

• Must have experience working with seniors (65+) or in long-term care, with knowledge of patient care, wellness, health education and safety.
• Ability to develop senior-specific programs/activities and supervise as needed.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Clear understanding of McGregor PACE and Medicaid Waiver programs.
• Familiarity with state regulations governing assisted living and regulatory checklists.
• Performs resident assessments and communicates changes for billing purposes.
• Oversee medication management to ensure timely and accurate MARs.
• Timely, honest communication with families and confidential charting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the nursing department, ensuring high-quality resident care and regulatory adherence.
• Lead and coordinate Community Team Members with Wellness Director to meet resident needs.
• Participate in service planning and renewals of care plans.
• Review state regulations and ensure department compliance via regulation checklists.
• Conduct resident assessments and communicate changes to Executive Director for billing.
• Provide oversight of medication management to ensure accuracy.
• Support marketing through tours and discussions with prospective residents and families.
• Foster positive employee relations with staff recognition and feedback programs.
• Plan work schedules, assign duties, and provide on-call backup when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information; ensure incident reports are filed.
