Job summary

The Aspenwood Company - Village on the Park Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney, TX is seeking compassionate Resident Assistants to provide high-quality care to seniors in a warm, homelike setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, serving meals, leading leisure activities, and maintaining accurate records. You will work as part of a collaborative team, participate in trainings, and be available for weekend and holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year of resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining, while encouraging independence as possible.
• Serve meals in dining room or residents’ apartments, assist in meal prep, and promote proper nutrition and hydration.
• Initiate and participate in leisure activities, encouraging socialization and friendships.
• Maintain accurate records of leisure activities, incidents, observations, and changes in residents’ conditions.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment; perform general housekeeping duties.
• Follow procedures in emergencies and respond quickly to resident requests, including emergency pendants and calls.
• Know each resident’s location, remind to sign out, and report if a resident cannot be located.
• Foster a cooperative team environment and participate in in-service trainings.
• Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
• Maintain professional appearance and hygiene per company policies.
