Covenant Living and CovenantCare Home Health and Hospice seek a Part Time Security Guard for a senior living community in Carol Stream. The role covers campus security, responding to emergencies, and monitoring vehicles and residents.

You must have a high school diploma and security experience, a valid driver’s license, and first aid certification. The position requires strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work Mondays and Sundays from 3pm to 11pm.

Qualifications

• High school education.
• Two years experience in security or related work.
• Current state driver’s license (CDL preferred) and a good driving record.
• First aid certification and experience in emergency medical situations.
• Ability to read and write in English, to communicate with others.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with residents, staff.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Good observational skills and adaptability to changing conditions.
• For California candidates, must maintain a valid California Security License.

Responsabilités

• Respond to emergency call system.
• Evaluate need to notify on-call personnel and support as required.
• In emergencies, call 911 and coordinate with responders.
• Patrol campus and secure buildings and exterior doors.
• Monitor campus vehicle traffic and enforce policies.
• Familiarize self with campus layout, equipment, and safety systems.
• Reset HVAC/chiller systems when needed and understand fire detector panels.
• Write and distribute incident reports; log safety hazards and maintenance requests.
• Provide maintenance/housekeeping services as directed in emergencies.
• Provide non-emergency residential services that do not conflict with security duties.
