Job summary

Haywood Springs seeks a Life Enrichment Coordinator to design and implement a dynamic calendar of activities that promote social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being for residents. You will develop person-centered programs and collaborate with residents, families, and staff to create meaningful experiences.

Responsibilities include memory care programming, volunteer recruitment, event planning, and maintaining activity records to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• ADC or CTRS certification is a plus; must obtain within 9 months.
• 1–2 years of experience planning and facilitating activities in senior living, healthcare, or recreational settings.
• Experience with dementia or cognitive impairments preferred.
• Strong creativity, organizational, and event-planning skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with residents, families, and staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of activities tailored to residents’ interests and needs.
• Incorporate physical, cognitive, social, creative, spiritual, and recreational activities.
• Develop monthly activity calendars that are engaging and diverse.
• Build relationships with residents to understand backgrounds and interests.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers; partner with community groups.
• Organize events, holidays, family gatherings, and intergenerational activities.
• Maintain records of participation, schedules, and evaluations; ensure compliance.
