Job summary

Sycamorespring of Miamisburg is seeking an Activity Assistant to provide engaging programs for residents, promoting psychosocial, spiritual and emotional well-being. The role supports the Activity Department and works closely with staff and families.

The responsibilities include leading groups and 1:1 activities, attending outings, assisting with meals, documenting participation, and supporting surveys and special events.

Qualifications

• Must be (or eligible to become) State Tested Nurse Aide.
• Willing to learn and communicates well with others.
• Has a sincere desire to work with elderly and enjoys working directly with residents, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group and 1:1 activities essential to residents' wellbeing.
• Contributes to activity calendar and plans activities to meet residents' needs.
• Conducts all scheduled groups and individual activities.
• Attends outings and operates bus lift and equipment.
• Attends team meetings as needed.
• Assists with Resident meals (serve/feed).
• Assists with Theme Weeks and special events.
• Documents activity participation and attendance for groups and individuals.
• Assist with Customer Service Surveys.
• All other duties per Supervisor.
