Job summary

John Knox Village Limited in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking an Activity Assistant in Assisted Living to support, plan, and conduct a variety of activity programs addressing residents' physical, social, mental and spiritual needs. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week on-site position.

You will follow the schedule of Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., assist with events, coordinate supplies, lead group activities, and maintain a warm, safe environment in line

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Ability to plan and lead activities.

Responsibilities

• Supports execution of activities and events for residents.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are available.
• Leads group activities and one-to-one visits.
• Assists with planning and decorating for events.
• May teach craft and activity classes.
• Follows infection control practices.
• Maintains safety and professionalism.
