Job summary

John Knox Village Limited in Lee's Summit, Missouri is seeking a Village Helper to provide private duty personal care in clients' homes. The role includes helping with ADLs, companionship, light housekeeping, and transportation to activities and appointments.

The position is full-time, 7a-3:30p, with mandatory flu shot or masking protocols. Training is provided annually, and the caregiver must have a valid driver’s license and BLS certification on hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• BLS certification required on hire.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• CNA certification is not a requirement.
• Must be able to follow instructions, manage time well, multitask, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to client well-being through companionship and activities.
• Performs light housekeeping and laundry; maintains cleanliness.
• Assists with ADLs such as bathing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provides safe, respectful care in clients' homes and accompanies to appointments.
• Adheres to safety regulations and policies; supports hospice clients when needed.
• Maintains professional conduct and completes required training annually.
