Job summary

Oakmont of Roseville is seeking an Activity Assistant to help organize, schedule, promote, facilitate and direct activities and excursions that improve residents’ independence and quality of life.

You will assist the Activity Director, recruit volunteers, and coordinate community events while ensuring a safe, engaging environment for seniors and staff. A high school diploma and driving ability are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Able to operate a PC and MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing an engaging social atmosphere with high-quality activities and events.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork and cooperation across departments.
