Job summary

Ivy Park at Roseville, a premier senior living community, seeks an Activity Assistant to organize and direct activities and excursions that enhance residents’ independence and quality of life. Responsibilities include supporting the Activity Director with engaging programs, recruiting volunteers, and ensuring a safe, inclusive social atmosphere across the community.

A high school diploma and MS Office skills are required; willingness to obtain necessary licenses and background checks is

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires Class C license with Passenger Endorsement (Class B/C preferred).
• Able to operate a personal computer and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing a fun, rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Community and promote resident participation through regularly scheduled activities.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors with tact and friendliness.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles as needed.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with other departments.

Education
