Job summary

IVY PARK AT BURBANK, a premier senior living community, seeks an Activity Director to plan and promote engaging activities and excursions, enhancing residents’ independence and quality of life.

The role requires a 21+ candidate with a high school diploma, a valid license, and 1 year of activity planning experience; supervising staff is preferred. Flexibility for holidays, evenings, and weekends is required; MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Class C license (Class B or C with Passenger Endorsement preferred).
• Minimum 1 year experience planning activities and evaluating residents’ needs.
• Prefer 1 year supervising employees and volunteers.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, weekends, and extra shifts as needed.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening including TB tests.
• Vaccination, daily screening, and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide a creative, engaging social atmosphere with high-quality activities and events.
• Lead activities personally and encourage resident participation in all events.
• Recruit, develop, manage and schedule Activity Assistants, Drivers and Volunteers.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment following safety standards.
• Foster teamwork and collaboration across departments.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
