Oakmont Senior Living in Mission Viejo, CA is hiring an Activity Assistant to organize and lead resident activities and excursions, helping to foster independence and a high quality of life.

Responsibilities include supporting the Activity Director, recruiting volunteers, ensuring safety, and promoting resident participation across the community. A HS diploma and a valid license to drive community vehicles are preferred, with background checks required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1 year of experience coordinating activities with seniors.
• Requires clean driving record and ability to drive community vehicles.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening (including TB).

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director to create and promote engaging activities and excursions.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers when needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain safe, secure environment and follow safety standards.
• Drive Community vehicles when required.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
