Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking an Activity Assistant to organize, schedule, promote, and direct activities and excursions that enhance residents’ independence and quality of life at Sea Bluffs, Ivy Signature Living in Dana Point, CA.

The role supports the Activity Director and involves coordinating volunteers, driving community vehicles when needed, and maintaining a safe, engaging social environment for seniors in a premier community managed by Oakmont Management Group.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C license; Class B or C with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.
• Vaccination and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director in providing a rewarding social atmosphere and promote resident participation.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
