Job summary

Laural Parke in Houston is seeking a hospitality-minded Lifestyles Coordinator to help plan and coordinate a holistic program for residents. You will lead daily activities and support wellness across eight dimensions while fostering a warm, engaging community.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with six months of experience with seniors preferred. This is a part-time, on-site role with a starting pay of $15 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months experience working with seniors in activities/life enrichment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and coordination of a balanced program of spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical and environmental activities with the intent of including all residents in some area of lifestyle activity.
• Promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees. This is a whole-person approach to health and wellness which includes eight dimensions of wellness: Emotional, Environmental, Health Services, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual and Vocational.
• Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in the area of disease prevention and management in the holistic spirit of the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program.
• Assist in tracking of activity participation for all Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents.
• Lead daily resident activities per our Community standards.
• Assist in gathering each resident’s interests through the Social Spiritual History Assessment for planning person-centered approach activities.
• Assist with preparing and distributing monthly calendars according to the Community standards.
• Assist with gathering information, articles, and photos for newsletter
• Assist with preparation and distribution of weekly program contents
• May be responsible for transporting residents to appointments, as well as regular and special recreational outings.
