Job summary

You will organize movies, parties, crafts, and community outings, ensuring a safe, respectful environment and HIPAA compliance. This role emphasizes empathy, communication, and the ability to work with diverse residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must understand English.
• Must be able to plan and run activities with residents.
• Ability to collaborate with other departments and staff to deliver programs.
• Must follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of safety practices and HIPAA considerations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational programs based on residents' assessments and care plans.
• Develop good rapport with other Facility departments to ensure activities run smoothly.
• Interview residents or family members to gather activity information and involve them in planning.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for activities and prepare rooms for programs.
• Provide daily activities such as movies, parties, crafts, and games.
• Oversee residents during activities to promote physical, social, and mental well-being.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and social events.
• Adhere to HIPAA and respect residents’ preferences regarding treatment.
