Job summary

Webster Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is hiring an Activities Assistant to create engaging experiences that enrich residents' lives. The role supports a resident-centered culture and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to foster well-being through varied programs.

Full-time opportunity with daily pay at $15-$22/hour. Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for senior care are valued, with opportunities for growth through training and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience in an Activities Department or healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging environment that enhances residents' quality of life.
• Document resident participation and engagement in activities and programs.
• Promote well-being through meaningful activities and interactions.
• Plan, develop, organize, and implement recreational, social, educational, and community programs.
• Build relationships with residents and encourage participation based on interests and abilities.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care goals.
• Observe and communicate changes in moods or participation to the team.
• Assist with community outreach and marketing events showcasing resident-centered care.
• Complete administrative tasks including audits, reports, and activity documentation.
• Prepare, decorate, set up, and break down activities and events.
• Assist with escorting and transporting residents to activities.

Education
