Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Simi Valley, CA is seeking an Activities Assistant to help lead daily activities, events, and enrichment programs that brighten residents’ days and strengthen community ties.

You’ll encourage resident participation, assist with calendars and newsletters, escort residents to programs, maintain activity spaces and supplies, and support volunteer engagement. A high school diploma is required, and strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead small group activities.
• Senior living experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading daily activities, events, and enrichment programs.
• Encourage and support resident participation.
• Help prepare activity calendars and newsletters.
• Escort residents to and from programs as needed.
• Maintain organized activity spaces and supplies.
• Support volunteer engagement and community partnerships.
• Document participation per regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate changes appropriately.
