Job summary

Liberty Senior Living is seeking an experienced Activities Assistant in Wellington, FL to plan, promote, and lead activities tailored to residents’ needs and interests.

You will encourage social interaction through group events, assist with religious and leisure activities, and help maintain calendars and newsletters. A high school diploma is required, with LT Care/Memory Care experience and professional certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as Activities Assistant or in Long Term Care/Memory Care/Assisted Living preferred.
• Certification as Activities Professional preferred by regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, promoting, and leading activities for residents.
• Encourages social communication through group activities.
• Supports participation in religious programs and leisure activities.
• Assists with monthly newsletter and activities calendar.
• Maintains activities supplies and storage.
• Supports volunteer programs and appreciation events.
• Transports residents to activity programs.
• Assists with admissions assessments, clinical responsibilities, MDS, care plans and progress notes.
• Facilitates community interaction programs.
