Job summary

Quail Park Communities in Visalia, CA is looking for a Life Engagement Assistant to help residents stay active, engaged, and connected through meaningful programs.

You will work with Life Engagement leadership to plan activities, outings, events, and on-site programs that support social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual well-being for seniors, with flexible full-time or part-time schedules.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working with seniors or in senior living.
• Experience planning or leading social, recreational, or community activities preferred.
• CNA certification or experience with older adults is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing scheduled resident activities and programs.
• Plan, coordinate, and participate in social events, outings, celebrations, and on-site activities.
• Encourage participation to support social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual well-being.
• Tailor activities to residents' interests and abilities.
• Promote meaningful social interaction and help residents connect with each other.
• Support Life Engagement Director when unavailable.
• Maintain resident social histories and activity inventories.
• Assist with recruiting and training volunteers.
• Ensure spaces and supplies are clean and organized.
