Job summary

Elan Westpointe, located in New Braunfels, TX, seeks a Salus Lifestyle Coordinator (Activities Assistant) to support a diversified program of cultural, spiritual, physical, social, and intellectual activities for residents. You will work with the Salus Lifestyle Coach to engage residents and coordinate group activities within the community.

Qualifications

• Experienced in activity planning, preferably with seniors.
• Experienced and interested in working with seniors.
• Possesses creative activity skills.
• Demonstrates organizational skills.
• Mature, pleasant, friendly personality.
• Driver Requirements: State driver license required with clean driving record and will have completed all HR policies and procedures for Community driver.

Responsibilities

• Provides outstanding service to Residents, family members, responsible persons, and visitors.
• Invites and/or reminds Residents to participate in planned activities.
• Works with other Program Associates to coordinate joint programs.
• Conducts/leads majority of programs.
• Is flexible in work schedule to accommodate special events and evening/weekend programs.
• Trains, supports, and instructs volunteers to assist with activities as needed.
• Plans weekly excursions.
• Identifies needed supplies for planned activities.
