Job summary

RegalCare at Holyoke is seeking an Activities Director to organize and lead recreational and therapeutic activities for residents in a supportive setting. The role emphasizes planning, coordination with care teams, and ensuring engaging programs that meet physical, emotional, and social needs.

Responsibilities include leading group activities, offering one-on-one support, and maintaining safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A two-year degree is preferred but not required.
• Two years of experience in a social/recreation program within the last five years, with at least one year in a patient activities program in health care.
• One year of management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing a diverse range of activities and programs for residents.
• Lead group activities such as games, arts and crafts, music therapy, and exercise classes.
• Provide one-on-one support and encouragement as needed.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment and ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Collaborate with staff to develop individualized care plans for residents.
• Document activity participation and resident progress as required.
