Job summary

RegalCare at Holyoke is seeking an Activities Director to plan, organize, and lead recreational and therapeutic activities for our residents. This role focuses on enhancing residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being in a supportive environment.

You will supervise activities staff, collaborate with care teams, ensure safety, and document participation and progress. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required to meet residents' needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two year college degree preferred but not required.
• Two (2) years experience in a social or recreation program within the last five (5) years, one (1) of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting.
• One year of management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing a diverse range of activities and programs designed to meet residents' physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Lead group activities such as games, arts and crafts, music therapy sessions, and exercise classes.
• Provide one-on-one support and encouragement to residents who may require additional assistance or accommodations.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
• Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
• Document activity participation and resident progress as required.
