Job summary

Hidden Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care in Ogden, Utah seeks an energetic Activity Director to lead daily activities for residents. You will plan and carry out a monthly activity calendar, coordinate onsite programs, and engage warmly with residents, families, and staff.

In this role you will supervise Activity Department staff, assist with resident transportation when needed, and help create engaging events that enhance residents’ well-being and community life.

Qualifications

• Plan, prepare, and post a monthly activity calendar.
• Coordinate and perform activities listed on the monthly calendar.
• Maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff through social events.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and post a monthly activity calendar that includes the five components of Recreational Therapy.
• Coordinate and perform the activities listed on the monthly calendar.
• Maintain and improve relationships with residents, family members and community staff by planning special functions where residents, families and staff can interact.
• Assist with transportation of residents as needed.
• Supervise any other staff in the Activity Department.
• Cary out supervisory responsibilities including hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
