Job summary

Willow Creek Healthcare Center is seeking a full-time Activities Director to lead our resident activities program and enrich residents' lives with meaningful, engaging activities. The role requires creativity, energy, and compassionate leadership.

The position includes planning diverse activities, coordinating with staff, and ensuring proper documentation while supporting residents’ hobbies and social needs. Benefits are provided and the environment is collaborative.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Activity Director certification is required.
• One year of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term-care facility preferred.
• Experience in activities, recreation, senior living, healthcare, or supervisory roles preferred.
• Strong knowledge of resident-centered programming, assessments, care planning, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, evaluate, and direct the resident activities program.
• Create varied monthly calendars with recreational, social, educational, cultural, spiritual, and wellness activities.
• Provide individual, small-group, large-group, and in-room activities.
• Develop programming for bed-bound or cognitively impaired residents.
• Complete activity assessments, care plans, and progress notes; maintain documentation.
• Coordinate care conferences and individualized care plans with the team.
