Job summary

University City Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Assistant for a full-time role with a flexible schedule. Pay ranges from $15 to $20 per hour, with Daily Pay available.

The Activities Assistant will promote resident well-being through engaging programs and collaborate with a caring interdisciplinary team. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least one year in an Activities Department or healthcare setting, with a genuine passion for enriching residents'

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging environment that enhances residents' quality of life and daily experiences.
• Document resident participation and engagement in scheduled activities and programs.
• Promote the social, physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being of residents through meaningful activities and interactions.
• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing recreational, social, educational, and community-based programs.
• Build positive relationships with residents and encourage participation based on interests, abilities, and preferences.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care goals and enhance overall resident satisfaction.
• Observe and communicate changes in residents' moods, behaviors, interests, or level of participation to appropriate team members.
• Assist with community outreach and marketing events that showcase commitment to resident-centered care.
• Complete required administrative tasks, including audits, reports, activity documentation, and program records.
• Help prepare, decorate, set up, and break down activities, special events, celebrations, and holiday programs.
• Assist with safely escorting and transporting residents to and from activities and events.
• Support a culture of Passion, Respect, and Excellence through compassionate interactions and exceptional service.
