Job summary

Cornerstone Management is seeking an Activities Assistant for the Whitefish at the Lakes Community in Minnesota. The role involves hands-on planning and leading activities to support residents’ physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being.

You will work with the Activity Director to develop programs, coordinate transportation, and communicate across departments to ensure a vibrant calendar of events and engaging experiences for seniors in our care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college or training preferred.
• Experience planning/leading activities, preferably in senior living.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and lead resident activities, events, trips, and celebrations.
• Encourage resident participation and help residents share talents and interests.
• Plan programs around holidays and meaningful occasions.
• Communicate with staff across departments to coordinate events.
• Prepare a monthly activity calendar and community newsletter.
• Drive residents to outings and errands in the community van/bus.
• Coordinate transportation needs and maintain activity schedules.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming environment and foster resident relationships.
