Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. is seeking an Activities Assistant to implement an activity program that addresses residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.

The role requires planning and leading activities for groups and individuals while maintaining documentation and complying with state and federal regulations. Applicants should have basic computer skills and the ability to read, write, and understand English, with availability for weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Regular worksite attendance.
• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform required physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Facility’s policies and procedures.
• Plan and implement activities to meet residents’ needs (large groups, small groups, and individual participation).
• Maintain documentation as required by State and Federal regulations.
• Report witnessed or reported abuse/neglect immediately to the Administrator or Unit Manager.
• Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergencies.
