Job summary

Midwest Health Inc. is seeking an Activities Assistant to support an activity program that addresses residents’ physical, mental, psychosocial needs and interests. You will implement activities, ensure safety, and collaborate with staff to meet individual resident needs.

The role involves planning monthly calendars, maintaining required documentation, and assisting in emergency procedures while upholding Residents’ Rights and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Regular worksite attendance.
• If required to operate a motor vehicle, comply with policy.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Facility’s policies and procedures.
• Report allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately to leadership.
• Treat residents, family members, visitors, and staff with respect and dignity.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and family information.
• Plan and implement activities to meet residents’ needs, including large and small groups and individuals.
