Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living seeks an Activities Assistant to help plan and lead daily activities, events, and enrichment programs for residents. You will encourage participation, coordinate calendars and newsletters, and escort residents to activities as needed.

The role emphasizes organizing spaces, supporting volunteers, and documenting participation according to guidelines. Prior senior living experience is preferred and a valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead small group activities.
• Valid driver’s license (as applicable).
• Senior living experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading daily activities, events, and enrichment programs.
• Encourage and support resident participation.
• Help prepare activity calendars and newsletters.
• Escort residents to and from programs as needed.
• Maintain organized activity spaces and supplies.
• Support volunteer engagement and community partnerships.
• Document participation per regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate changes appropriately.
