Job summary

Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center in Scranton, PA seeks a Recreation Therapy Aide under the Director of Recreation Therapy to plan, organize, and implement a variety of individual and group activities for residents. Assigned duties adapt to the person-specific needs of residents.

A high school diploma is preferred; CPR certification is required and PA state police background check is mandatory. Driving is preferred and, if selected, you may need to complete Allied Services’ Driver Training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience working with a geriatric population preferred.
• Must be cleared by PA State Police criminal history check.
• Must be certified or become certified in CPR.
• Ability to maintain/promote positive relationships with residents, families, and facility personnel required.
• Valid PA driver’s license preferred.
• If selected as a driver, must pass Allied Services’ Driver Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement a variety of individual and group activities for residents.
• Assist in meeting the needs of all residents of Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center.
• Work under the direction of the Director of Recreation Therapy.
