Job summary

The Bristal Lake Success is seeking a creative, compassionate Lifestyle Coordinator to design and coordinate recreational programs for our assisted living residents, including those in Reflections Memory Care. You will help residents pursue interests, plan trips to galleries, theaters and events, and prepare the monthly calendar and memos for distribution.

Qualifications

• One year’s prior experience working with a senior population, and those with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia a plus
• At least 6 months of Recreation activity experience (art therapy, music therapy) or event leadership experience, preferably in assisted living or long-term care
• Be outgoing, warm and have a genuine caring personality
• Ability to create programs that engage residents
• Supervise activities and safe excursions for residents
• Creative talents in arts, music, readings, or dance
• Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude
• Strong listening and communication skills and confident public speaking
• Has led classes and instructional sessions

Responsibilities

• Assist in presenting and coordinating recreational programs for residents and those in Reflections Memory Care.
• Plan fun and safe trips to galleries, theaters, sports events, and cultural programs.
• Prepare, print and distribute monthly calendars, newsletters and memos.
• Perform planned activities in the absence of the Director of Recreation.
• Leverage knowledge of resident interests and languages to boost engagement.
