Job summary

Country Village Post Acute in New Hampshire is seeking a Recreation Assistant to provide engaging activities for residents. The role is full-time, 32 hours per week, with every other weekend and some evenings/holidays required.

You will plan, organize, and implement activities addressing physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs while supporting a caring, collaborative environment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and strong English communication skills, with a focus on safety,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Effective communication with patients, families and staff.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Ability to engage positively with residents, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Enrich the lives of our patients/residents with planned activities meeting their physical, creative, cognitive, social, spiritual and other needs.
• Provide input into the design of monthly recreation therapy services.
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation level at recreation programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
