Job summary

Dover Center for Health & Rehabilitation is seeking an Activities Assistant to join our caring team in Dover, NH. This full-time role includes an every-other-weekend rotation and an opportunity to bring joy to our aging residents.

You will plan, organize and execute activities, engage residents in arts and crafts, games and music, collaborate with the Activities Director to develop a monthly calendar, and provide one-on-one support as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Long-Term Care or senior living setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong compassion and empathy for residents.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of activities for residents.
• Engage residents in arts and crafts, games, music, and other recreational programs.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement a monthly activities calendar.
• Provide one-on-one support for residents who may need additional assistance.
• Foster a sense of community and social interaction among residents.
• Document and maintain records of residents' participation in activities.
