Qualifications

• Experience creating and coordinating activities for older adults.
• Ability to supervise, lead and motivate people.
• Willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
• Volunteer recruitment and training experience preferred.
• Strong English language reading/writing and interpretive skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of community resources and services for residents.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers and staff involvement in activities.
• Attend training courses and maintain LMS training.
• Create daily/monthly activity calendars reflecting residents' interests.
• Coordinate and host special events and holidays; decorate the community.
• Provide a forum for resident ideas and feedback to leadership.
• Maintain equipment for activities within budget.
• Arrange transportation for outings and ensure care supplies as needed.
• Cultivate opportunities for residents to engage in community centers and service projects.
• Know the community, services provided, and residents and staff.
