Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning, organizing, developing, and directing quality activities for patients. The role ensures recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs are met in accordance with Life Care standards and regulations.

Required: high school graduate or equivalent; preferred prior experience with geriatrics.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs (includes entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and education).
• Appropriately and descriptively chart patient progress and behavior.
• Escort patients to and from activities.
• Make regular in room visits to patients uninterested or unable to participate in group activities.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
