Job summary

Salus is seeking a Lifestyle Coordinator (Activities Assistant) to support a diversified program of individual and group activities for Residents, promoting engagement across cultural, spiritual, physical, social and intellectual dimensions.

You will work with the Salus Lifestyle Coach to coordinate programs, lead activities, train volunteers, organize weekly events, and ensure safety and positive communication with Residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in activity planning, preferably with seniors.
• Experience and interest in working with seniors.
• Creative activity skills.
• Demonstrates organizational skills.
• Mature, pleasant, friendly personality.

Responsibilities

• Provides outstanding service to Residents, family members, and visitors.
• Facilitates socialization among Residents.
• Invites and reminds Residents to participate in planned activities.
• Coordinates joint programs with other Program Associates.
• Leads majority of programs.
• Maintains flexibility for evening/weekend programs.
• Trains and supports volunteers for activities.
