Job summary

Savant Senior Living in Costa Mesa, CA seeks an Activities Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life by planning and facilitating engaging programs. You will collaborate with the Activities Director to create monthly calendars and oversee activity areas, ensuring safety and meaningful participation for older adults.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant recreation certifications are a plus.
• Must have First Aid/CPR certification and health/safety clearances.
• Previous experience in assisted living or senior care preferred.
• Ability to drive community van/bus and assist residents entering/exiting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement activities for residents.
• Engage residents in social, cultural, and educational activities.
• Develop monthly calendars with the Activities Director.
• Set up activity spaces and gather supplies for activities.
• Guide residents during activities and ensure safety.
• Record participation and provide feedback on engagement.
• Escort residents to activities and assist with outings.
• Decorate common areas for seasonal events and social occasions.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols.
